1. About…

Greetings Pilgrim: My name is Bartimaeus, also known as B.R. Timeo.

I wish to see Jesus

Reiterating what was stated in my initial “Welcome” posting, my intent for this site is to be a place where anyone can come and read the Word of God, Meditate, Pray and read material which will help you come to a deeper relationship with Jesus and the Father through the Holy Spirit. The Site contains both timely and relevant reflections on the scriptures and a series of sections containing Resources and Articles pertinent to a life of prayer. The most current “Post” may be accessed through the “Home Tab” and the “Post” sections in the sidebar while the “Resource Articles” may be accessed through the remaining tabs on top or the pages listed under “Resources” in the sidebar. For Further information regarding access to the “Posts” and the “Resource Articles” see my notes following the scripture quotations below. A Compendium of Inspirational and Educational Links Listed under the Tab “MORE!” Click HERE if you want go directly to that compendium.

…. May the Lord Bless You as you continue on your pilgrim’s walk with Jesus! …   Bartimaeus

[To the weary Jesus says...]

“Come away with me to a Quiet Place all by yourselves and rest for a while.” (Mark 6: 31)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,  for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)

[to the spiritually hungry Jesus says...]

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” (Matt. 5:6)

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.  For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever.” (John 6:53-58)

All are welcome to enter and use the Resource Materials as they feel led. No Sign-In or registration is required. All the shared materials are “public”. My main motivation and authorization in initiating this site is as a place to share what I have received.  “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1Peter 4:10 ).

I am merely sharing those items I have found on the Web or those items which have been shared with me to provide those who enter to enter into this Quiet place, an environment on the web they can use to begin a deeper fellowship with the Godhead trough a relationship with Jesus. I have no intent of  initiating a social network and do not care whether anyone registers or not. Just as I have assumed a pseudonym to maintain my privacy I offer this same privilege of privacy to those who enter into this Quiet Place.

However if any one wishes to share a resource thay have found useful on their spiritual journey, they may leave a comment and I will consider including it. -   Bartimaeus

PS: (1)  Continue your Pilgrim’s Progress in this section by clicking on the sub-pages below, or, (2) Open the Numbered tabs on top to enter the Numbered Resource sections in The Quiet Place, (3)  the side bar titled “Resources/Articles” lists all of these pages and sub pages in case you wish to go to a specific page.

For Example,  the next Tab (Section 2)  contains the links to sources that will provide you the litugical scriptures for the day and an assortment of meditations and prayers regarding the Word For Today. This is the perfect way to enter into the spirit of the Quiet Place and let the Holy Spirit work in your heart inspiring your meditation and prayer.

The Posts on this Blog are reflections authored by me as my personal sharing of our walk in discipleship. I will from time to time also post reflections provided by Invited authors.

The sub-pages below are part of the “Resources/Articles” section and are intended to provide the just-arrived pilgrim access to the DOOR and the ENTRANCE to the Kingdom.  May the Lord bless you as you proceed on your own pilgrim’s walk.
