# Do Not Be Deceived: Warnings Regarding Deceptive Spiritual Practices
“Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness? What agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share with an unbeliever?
What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
“I will live in them and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
Therefore come out from them,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch nothing unclean;
then I will welcome you,
and I will be your father,
and you shall be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Cor.6:14-18)
My brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The enemy of our souls has placed many false detour signs on the Narrow Path we have been called to walk. Many of these deceptions on the spiritual way are designed to divert us from the true Spirit of Christ and destroy our effectiveness in bringing God’s Kingdom to Light.
These deceptive and false spiritual practices create the impression that we can adapt certain pagan practices to enhance our spirituality and our ability to draw closer to God. In reality, these are all snares of the evil one to separate us from Jesus and the Father by presenting to us another “Jesus” and leading us into the path of destruction.
Remember: “What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God” (2Cor. 6:16)
